Winter Training
Jan 13th -March 19th, 2025
For ages 6-14
Athletes are divided into ability/experience levels and choose one of two groups:
- Distance and middle distance runners - train outdoors.
- Field Event, hurdlers and Sprinters - train both indoor and outdoor.
Mondays, 4:15-5:30pm: Drop off on north side of Elks lodge. Meet indoors. Athletes split up based on event and train either indoors or outdoors.
Wednesdays, 4:15-5:30pm: Harlow Platts Park, meet at the Viele Lake Pavilion
Mondays include:
Body weight strength circuit + core strengthening
Sprints : 100m, 200m, 400m, Relays, hurdles
Long Jump: workouts to improve running form, speed and power
Middle Distance: 800m, 1500m, Mile
Distance: 3000m
Program Dates: 1/13/25 - 3/19/25
TWO OPTIONS: 2 days/week or 1 day/week.
One day/week is recommended if your child wants sprint and Field Event instruction only.
Cost:
$390.00 for 2 days/week;
$200.00 for 1 day/week
*No practice on these holidays:
- 1/20, Martin Luther King Day.
- 2/17, President's Day
Mondays: 4:15-5:30pm: Practice begins inside Elks Lodge: 3975 28th Street, Boulder.
5:30 -6:15pm: on select Mondays: "Monday Mindfulness:" learn goal setting, positive imagery and mantra creation for peak performance.
These events, as well as our High School panel discussions and talks will be on the Team Snap schedule. Once registered, you will receive an invitation to join Team Snap.
Wednesdays: 4:15-5:30pm
Harlow Platts Park, at the Pavilion next to Viele Lake.
This is 200m South of the South Boulder Recreation Center.
